The Indian Contribution To American Government

“If the freedom of speech be taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.”—George Washington

It is a well known fact that the founding fathers of the United States of America consulted with the leaders of the Six Nations of the Iroquois because they admired their system of government which presented a new concept of democracy and illustrated how a republic functions. There were other forms of democracy in existence in the late 1700’s, but in the minds of the founding fathers, none compared to the highly developed, successful and individually liberating democracy of the Six Nations.  It is interesting to note that the ‘Headpeople’ of the Six Nations were the Clan Mothers.  They were women elders who were the overseers of the communities.  Any disputes were brought to the Clan Mothers for resolution.  The ‘Headmen’ among the Six Nations were in charge of the hunting grounds.  This was their ‘jurisdiction’.

There is much more detailed information as to exactly what concepts for a republic – democratic form of government the founding fathers obtained from the Six Nations of the Iroquois.  Suffice it to say that the Six Nations provided a significant contribution to the system of government the United States of America operates with today…

“We must act as a guardian of our rights”.   Willie Littlechild, Cree.

They made us many promises, more than I can remember, but they never kept but one: they promised to take our land and they took it. It was not hard to see that the white people coveted every inch of land on which we lived. Greed. Humans wanted the last bit of ground which supported Indian feet. It was land – it has ever been land – for which the White man oppresses the Indian and to gain possession of which he commits any crime. Treaties that have been made are vain attempts to save a little of the fatherland, treaties holy to us by the smoke of the pipe – but nothing is holy to the white man. Little by little, with greed and cruelty unsurpassed by the animal, he has taken all. The loaf is gone and now the white man wants the crumbs”.  Luther Standing Bear

Why States Should Oppose New EPA Regulations

5456582_orig

Under the guise of addressing global warming, President Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed a plan that would require all states to make drastic reductions in carbon emissions. In essence, this forces them to use less coal and effectively mandates a transition to more expensive and less reliable energy sources like wind and solar – regardless of cost or effectiveness.

Through the regulatory power of the EPA, the Administration is attempting a hostile takeover of the electricity sector that should be resisted by all who care about a thriving economy and believe in a balance of power between federal and state governments.

The rule as proposed, will burden the economy, eliminate jobs, and raise the utility bills of families and businesses– hitting the poor, the elderly, and those on fixed incomes the hardest at a time when they can least afford it. More broadly, it will shrink the role of states in regulating and coordinating their electricity system and lead to an unprecedented expansion in the size and power of the federal government.

The Bill of No Rights

bill-of-no-rights

We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of No Rights.

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone — not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

God Bless America

Joseph Stalin once said the following…
“America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: Its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, it will collapse from within.”

Motorola patent uses neck tattoo as microphone

Motorola Mobility patent application has proposed using an “electronic skin tattoo” as a smartphone microphone and wireless transceiver.

The temporary tattoo would also include a “power supply configured to receive energising signals from a personal area network”, according to the filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

It would be applied to “a throat region of a body” – otherwise known as the neck.
